ICR Touch - Gift Vouchers with unique IDs

Question:
A customer is looking to set up a gift voucher system through the till. Their old system would give unique IDs with each gift voucher sold. This number could then be used on the till to verify the voucher.
Essentially what I need is a way to print a voucher with an ID, the till then stores that ID and value and then the issued vouchers can be searched to ensure the voucher is legit and hasn’t been previously redeemed.
Is this possible with the system as is? Or is there a script maybe that adds this functionality?
