Adding an item to ICRTouch EPOS Systems that are synchronised to Touch Office Web is easy, with only a few steps!
Head to www.touchoffice.net and log in with the details provided by EPOS NI.
Select the "Products" section on the left.
Find the department of the product you are looking to add and select an empty PLU by clicking on the red number on the left. For EPOS NI systems, departments typically go up in sections of 100 PLUs. For example, PLU numbers 100 - 200 will be breakfast items, 200 - 300 will be mains etc...
Enter the item's name in the descriptor section at the top. Under the "General" box; fill in the groups, departments, random code (Bar Code) and tax rates. Below these you will find Alternative text which is for longer item names so that they appear in full on Touch Takeaway systems and short descriptions.
The price section can be found below this general box. If the item requires only 1 price it can be added under "Std Price" and "1st @ Price". Another common use of these prices in EPOS NI systems would be the "2nd @ Price" under the same "Std Price" which we commonly use for Half Pints for bars or glasses/bottles of wine. It may be worthwhile looking at an already filled in PLU to see the layout of the pricing on these.
Under the "Options" tab, you will find additional drop down menus for when an item is selected on the till. These are typically items such as Toppings, Sauces and other options.
