Price checking uses a feature called a competence test. It works by using the function and then scanning/keying the item. This displays a box with the item name and price. If the user presses on the box it will add the item to the sale.
Setting this up requires a few steps:
First it requires the display box added to the Screen Layout. Go to the Assistant/Screen Layout and add a new Element. Element 17 = Competence text, add this to the dump and place where needed. Then configure the Format Profile attached to the Element. Set this to a number other than the tills default Format Profile. Leave Format shift at 1
Next go to Print/Format Profiles and expand Receipt direct sale, just the first one. In the Format Profile, under 1., enter the Output Format you wish to use. If there is a Price Check Format there use that, if not choose a blank one.
Then go to Print/Output Formats. Under the Output Format selected, expand PLUs etc. Enable PLU name font 1 by entering a number selecting which font to use, I recommend using Font 2. Then expand Price and under Font put the same number used before. Double check that the Output Format selected is not used in other areas and that only these two settings are enabled.
Finally add a button to the till to use the function. Either under Input/Function select or directly with the Assistant/Buttons. Function 108 = Competence text.
Once it's sent to the till, make sure to Re-Initialize and test the function in case of errors.
